Question Trying to get into old alienware.

I am currently trying to get into an Alienware pc, I can not get past the user sign-in because I do not have the password.
So I was wondering what my options are? If need be, I will replace the hard drive but I would like not to., so I can see what's on it.

Pc specs from what I can tell:
Windows vista
16 GB (I'm sure DDR3)
1TB HDD
( It does have a dedicated graphics card)

My grandfather had us moving furniture from a recently deceased ladies' Condo ( by recent I mean 2 years ago) When I was about to leave a noticed an Alienware desktop, I asked my Grandfather if I could have and he didn't have a problem with it. So I checked it and at first, it wouldn't power on so when I got it home and disassembled it down to a bare minimum, then powered it up, which it did on the first try. Then I plug it up checking to see if it still powered on every step. Now the only problem I have is my current one.

I'm sorry, but we have a very strict policy about helping with circumventing passwords. Both for legal reasons and practical ones; the former should be self-explanatory, for the latter, we wouldn't have any way to tell a legitimate from an illegitimate use.
