Trying to put D-Link DIR-615 C1 in Repeater Mode

I just recently upgraded my home router from a 615 to a 655, so I thought I would use the old router as a repeater bridge at another location.

I read that the DD-WRT firmware offered a repeater bridge function, so I successfully flashed the 615 C1 with the latest release 7/12.

I get all of the configuration steps, and even have set up client bridge mode. My problem is when I bring down the list of available wireless modes, repeater bridge isn't on the list.

Is the C1 version not able to do this? Or, am I doing something wrong, or is there something else I need to do to enable a repeater bridge?

Yes, that's the exact guide I'm using. I was able to do everything it says, but Repeater Bridge isn't one of the options.

I think I understand reading that the v24 version of the firmware had the Repeater Bridge broken,so I plan to reflash an older firmware to see if it appears.

Otherwise, do you have any other suggestions?

Having the same issue with DIR-615 C1, no Repeater Bridge option.

Did you have any success in figuring out how to setup?

Does the C1 Revision support? and if so, which Firmware is needed to get the option.

Same issue.

I've installed DDWRT on the DIR-615 but I don't see any option to change it to repeater when I go into wireless basic settings though I can see the option to put it into AP or client mode for example. I also don't see the Network Configuration : Bridged option.

This is on ddwrt 14896 for the DIR-615 C1 router.

I read somewhere that the chip-set in this router is not capable of the repeater function that is why its not showing up in the drop down list. however there is a work around that i have been playing with. I have the same router and I've purchased it without knowing this also. Trick is to select client mode of some sort and then create a virtual wireless interface to rebroadcast the signal locally. I've successfully been able to use the router as a repeater bridge to share internet connection. I have not done any speed tests but i know that it does work. DIR-615 Hardware revision C1. Waiting for my pigtails from eBay to mod the non removable antennas as well.

I have also set my dir-615 up as a bridge routed and added a virtual interface but when I access it it allows me to hit like 2 web sites then I get a web page not found when I attempt the 3rd website? Any thoughts?
