Question TV-Monitor combo causes monitor-flicker ?

Whenever I try to connect my older model Insignia TV to my PC, my main monitor will occasionally flicker. The flickering almost always happens when I am playing a game and there's a highly gpu-intensive situation (Like flickering car lights or like Totally Accurate Battle Simulator with a lot of troops). Any possible fixes?

Perhaps try and see if the issue is averted when you change cables, changing the wall outlets to which the TV is hooked up to and lastly see if your platform might be needing a BIOS update. You'd be a little better served if you could include the specs to your build like so:

With relevance to this thread, mentioning the exact model of your TV would help us two fold.
