[SOLVED] Two Different Types of RAM

Greetings all,

I am currently using 8GB Crucial Ballistix Tactical Tracer 1866MHz DDR3 (9-9-9-27, 1.5V) and am looking to upgrade to 16GB but these are no longer available.

Would I be able to add 2x 4GB Corsair Vengeance LP 1866MHz DDR3 (9-9-9-24, 1.5V) to these without any issues? Or would it be better to just get 2x 8GB modules?

You should purchase a 2x8GB set.
Mixing RAM is always a crapshoot. It might work, it might fail.

If you want 16GB, buy a 16GB set.
