[SOLVED] Two same folders have different "Size on Disk" ?

I have two identical folders on two separate USB HDDs(I copied the folder from hdd1 to hdd2), when I look at their properties , their "size" is the same....but they have a different "size on disk" .... did the files in the folder get corrupted during the transfer ? should I copy it again ?

Copy doesn't include hidden folder and files that I am aware of.

Could be several things.

Identical drives?
Possibly the allocation size is different.
Fragmentation level.

Are all the files there? Anything seem corrupt?

the drives are not identical...every file has the same "size"/"size on disk" except one small 246mb file...which has the same size but a different size on disk ...

All the files are there .... since both folders have the same number of files/folders in their properties ....

An Update file....the whole folder is like 20 GB....

From what? What created it?

That may be just recording the new date/time/location. Hence, slightly different.

I ripped my PS3 disc into a folder and downloaded the PSN Updates and backed them all up in a folder...

Well then yes, that would be slightly different than what was on the original DVD.
I'm not seeing a problem here.

If that file is the only one different, and you actually did an "Update", then I would surmise that all the other stuff is as original.
