[SOLVED] Ubiquiti UniFi Access Point and EdgeRouters

I am buying a PoE router from Ubiquiti's EdgeRouter series, and am trying to figure out if their UniFi access points will work with it without the need for the UniFi controller, but have not been able to find that information anywhere. Please Help.

you do need the unifi controller to set them up and update them. it doesn't have to run all the time. i'd recommend putting it on a pc that you are going to have for a while. save the autoback up file somewhere you can get if you need it. with that file you can start a new controller (same version as old) on any pc and it will have all your settings. if you lose the controller/config you have to manually reset the devices and start from scratch.

I found out that since I am only installing to APs, I can configure them in standalone mode using their mobile app on my phone.
