I have downloaded the MSI Afterburner app for Android, which should allow me to overclock and monitor my pc from my phone (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.msi.a...).

I did everything the installation said: I downloaded the app, I downloaded the remote server on my PC, I made sure the IP matches on the PC and the app, as well as the security key and I created an inbound Firewall rule using the Port that I picked on both the App and the PC.

But as soon as I click overclock/monitor within the app, it tells me "Unable to connect to MSI Afterburner host".

Does anyone here have experience with this app who could help me?

I've used the app on my Iphone.
It works for me, but in the remote server icon down the bottom left, right click it and make sure your port number also matches the one on your phone.
Also make sure MSI AB is open and running properly.

Also with your IP, just make sure it is your local IP. If you go to your start menu.
type in CMD.
Then type in ipconfig.
Then look at the adapter which is connected to your router and use the ipv4 adress.
Make sure it matches your ip in the server and your phone.

-good luck

This is a bit late but i have seen no solution as the one I have found, hopefully this will help others out in the future. It looks like you have downloaded everything but the actual program for your computer. The remote android server is exactly that a "remote control" for the program running on your pc. Go to Afterburners web site and be sure to download and install the program on your pc. Open it and then connect with your tablet or phone.
