Question Unable to get RAM above 2133MHz

Using G.Skill Ripjaws V 2x8GB (product no. F4-3200C16D-16GVGB) with Ryzen 5 3600 and Asus ROG Strix B450-f. No matter what I try I’ve been unable to get my ram above 2133MHz. I’ve set the speed to different values lower than 3200MHz, raised DRAM voltage, raised SOC voltage, manually set timings and everything. But every time I boot my ram speed is shown as 1067 in task manager. I’m completely stuck and don’t know what else I can do.

Put the memory in slots A2/B2 (2/4) instead of A1/B1, then enable DOCP in the performance manager tab in the BIOS.

The sticks are already in those slots. DOCP hasn’t worked for me either.

Just saw the 3600 so it should be up to date for the most part. Besides what you tried when getting the memory to run at 3200 did you make any other changes in the BIOS? If so it may be worth it to revert the BIOS back to default settings then try DOCP again.

I have the same board & memory so I know for a fact it works.

What settings are you using? I’ve reset to defaults a few times to try different settings.

I'm not on PC currently but when I get home I'll post pics of the BIOS and see if there's a difference.

The only difference is your CPU, mine is the 2600 but I don't think that would be part of your issue.

Ai Tweaker to manual, Memory frequency to 3200, Standard Timings to 16, 18, 18, 18, 38, DRAM voltage to 1.35, SOC voltage to 1.1
The different CPU could change compatibility but as I understand it the new Ryzen processors have better compatibility with RAM.
I’ll probably update bios since I’m on 2301 right now but the current version on the ASUS website is 2501.

For anyone with the same issue in the future, all you need to do is update BIOS to the current version. I was on 2301 and updated to 2501. The issue is that Standard DOCP doesn’t change any other settings. When the BIOS is updated Standard DOCP will change the proper settings and ram will be at the correct speed.
