Snagged a couple of 7770s for client builds. Ran them through some paces just for reference.

Help!
I have been struggling with this issue for months. As you can see by the below picture, I have no problem running a single GTX 660 ti with Valley and getting a decent response. However, the minute I install the second identical card, Valley crashes 1/3 of the way in. I have tried numerous NVidia drivers being certain to clean out all the left overs. I have also just Monday, reformatted the drive and installed a clean Windows 7, updated all, and installed my cards. And still I get crashing on Extreme HD every time. I also will crash while playing BO2 if I use anything other than VSync on. My monitor is a 1920 x 1080 Samsung BX2431 and connected via HMDI cable. I also tried stock settings, OC setting using manual and ASUS's 4-way Optimization which brought my 4770K to a safe 4.5Ghz. I am at a loss and any assistance will be greatly appreciated!

Manufacturer: Self Built

Cooling: Corsair H100i Extreme Performance Dual-Fan Liquid CPU Cooler
Motherboard: ASUS Z87-Plus
Memory: 16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3-1600 (PC3-12800)

Video Cards: 2- MSI GTX660 ti Twin Frozr IV Power Edition OC2048MB in SLI
Monitor: Samsung BX2431
Sound Card: Realtech HD Onboard
Speakers/Headphones: Bose Companion Speakers/ Logitech G930 Wireless Headphones

Computer Case: Corsair 600T Gaming Case w/ Corsair HX850 PS

PS, I cannot seem to get my Valley results image to post! Which were as follows on Extreme HD:

FPS: 34.0
Score: 1424
Min FPS: 20.3
Max FPS: 64.8

Yes, I tried moving both cards to each spot and they both run perfectly on their own. I have also tried messing with the NVidia Control Panel settings to no avail.

I have also went into the BIOS and disabled the onboard sound and the crash still occurs. Could the answer be in "Under clocking" the cards???

Thinking and looking for guidance.

What do you have for a power supply? I didn't see that in your spec list.

Corsair HX850

Very strange. It's hard to diagnose it as software or hardware from over here.

Very true; however, I am now on the right track! I checked the specs of a standard GTX 660 ti and using Afterburner, I downclocked the GPUs to those levels. I brought the Base clock from 1020 to 915, and the Boost Clock from 1098 to 980. This allowed me to finally complete Valley with the following scores:

62.6
2919
31.6
11.64

However, I still get game crashes when I run with VSync off and an unlimited FPS (which in BO2 are capped at 200). But if I run VSync on, which caps me at 60FPS, the game runs smoothly. I guess it is now finding a balance between the original factory specs of a standard GTX 660 ti and the MSI PE version.

Smeezekitty,

I thought the same thing; however, I am able to run each card independently for hours with no issues. It is only when I combine the two in SLI where my problems rear their ugly head.
