Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller Driver Missing Z170 WIndows 7

[Airsofting Gamer - Terminato178]

I just upgraded my machine from AMD to Intel Skylake. I am running a Gigabyte GA-Z170X-UD5 (rev. 1.0), Intel 6700k, 32 GB DDR4 @ 2133 (only 16 usable due to Windows 7 Home Premium), and an EVGA GeForce GTX 970 SSC, all on Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. When looking under device manager I see under other device "Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller". I have tried to get drivers through Windows which does not work. I did go to Gigabytes website and download what i thought I needed but nothing seems to help. When I click on "properties" it says "The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)." Everything else works fine, CPU, GPU, RAM, Blu-ray drive, Card reader, ect. I do not know what the unknown device is. Under hardware ID it says "PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_15B6&SUBSYS_11112222&REV_00
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_15B6&SUBSYS_11112222
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_15B6&CC_0C0330
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_15B6&CC_0C03" which I have tried to google and nothing comes up.

I'm so pleased it worked for you. I can feel your relief - which is exactly how I felt when I sorted it.

I had several issues after an expensive high spec build - so I was well pee'd off! But, all are now resolved thankfully.

I'm having the same issue with my gigabyte z170 gaming gt board can't seem to get the usb 3.1 drivers installed into the os. tried everything clean install manual removal and installing of all drivers. By any chance do you still have the necessary files to help me fix this issue if you can. Thanks in advance man.
