Unplugging, and plugging back in SSD

So, my cable management is utter *. I need to temporarily remove my SSD to access the main problem. Now, if I unplug it, can I simply plug it back in when it's done? Will it just boot up as if nothing ever happened?

It should be just fine. Just make sure you keep the same boot sequence.
