I've been trying to setup a game server for the past few days using the port 25565, as many of you may know it's Minecraft. However when I run the server on the port 25565 I'm unable to connect to it.

I'm using Ubuntu for my hosting machine, and I've triple checked my ufw rules for ports. I've got a range of ports open from 25560, to 25650. both on udp and tcp just to make sure I have tracks covered.
I've got my ISP router in modem mode due to having issues with their hardware, and I'm using my own Asus router I bought 2 years ago, and I've made sure to check the ports forwarding on that device. It is working because when I run,
a server on a different port within that range being 25587, I can connect to that port. Which is very weird to me.

I've also tried disabling ufw and rebooting my router and re-adding the ports to the router, but nothing has fixed it for me, I've also been using something called Waterfall which is a proxy server for Minecraft. It is a fork of Bungeecord, however it's setup the same, along with trying Bungeecord itself, I've just got nothing to work along with not receiving support from places I would expect to see if people could help me but I'm at a complete loss to where I should be looking.

If I have multiple ufw rules that include 25565 would that be an issue also? If so I would need to remove that. I have to also mention that this port has worked for me in the past, but I turn my Computers every so often when I'm not there to make sure something bad doesn't happen. I've also made sure it's using the correct internal IP.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,
~Blood

When setup on 25565, can you access the Minecraft server from another PC on the LAN?
If not, then it isn't a router or ISP issue.

No via another computer on your LAN. Using the LAN IP address of the server. A laptop or another PC.
Not localhost which would be accessing it from the same physical host.
Okay this is working for me it showed up finally. Using the internal IP works however using my external does now. I'm wondering if I should be using my external IP within the Bungeecord server configs.
