This is a direct follow-up to my thread here and the specs are the same except for the GPU, as describe below. I received moderator permission to post a new thread as the website said I could not reply to the previous one.

In my last thread, it was suggested that my GPU was damaged due to heavy use for ML applications despite being a LHR gaming GPU. I submitted it for RMA and the RMA was approved, but while I was waiting a friend lent me an MSI 3060 Ventus 3X for gaming and testing.

However, the crashing problems under heavy loads (even just gaming, I didn't test it for ML) seem to be continuing and I even had it crash in Linux a few times without having a particularly heavy load. Is this a sign something besides the GPU is a problem? Should I RMA/upgrade the PSU next? Or might this just be a coincidence?

I updated all the drivers and tested things like fan and temperature monitoring and everything seemed to work. I haven't verified that the problem occurs on both Windows and Linux but since everything else is the same as the old problem I strongly suspect that it does.

Yet another update: since the last crash the computer won't even turn on. I'm going to RMA the PSU and see if a replacement helps.

OP

have read a bit of your other thread. I'm just using a 1050ti in Honkai with no graphics crashes, so your pc with a 3070 should not crash in this game at all. Thankfully, parts are new. So you can be RMA. Hopefully, changing the PSU fixes things for your pc.
