I'm getting an icon on my desktop stating my local area
connection is in limited or no connectivity. This has
appeared and is shutting down my conncetion on several
occassions. Can some one help me?

I'm getting it too. Don't disable it! Just click on the icon and in the
general tab, uncheck the 'notify me ...'

Hi,
If you have SP2 remove the sp2 & then try.

If you can't offer a real suggestion, don't offer one at all.

I would try reinstalling the drivers for your network card. Also, I
would just uncheck the warning box in the connection's properties so
that you never see the message as long as you aren't on a wireless
connection and you don't have any connectivity problems.
