Hello all. New user here. I am new to computers so stay with me here.
I have an older PC (2009-2010ish). Windows 10, and it has an AMD Athlon(TM) ii X2 250 processor. 3,000 Mhz 2 cores 2 logical.
Motherboard is an Asus M4A785T-M.
I just upgraded the ram from 4 gig to 16 gigs, and the GPU to Nvidia Geforce 210 - my old one went bad.
My issue is, is that I want to watch 1080p 60fps videos on YouTube, but without the lag. My CPU always maxes out at 100 when doing this. I’m being told that saving my money & not buying a new GPU, and just getting a new board will be better. Also being told that the bottleneck is due to the GPU not being sufficient enough.
I would HATE to buy a 2-$400 GPU, install it, and see that the issue still persists, as most places will not let you return a GPU, and are final sale.
Can anyone help me out with this. I would like to just keep what I have, get a decent GPU (my motherboard is rated max 1080p 60htz) and just watch YouTube videos without the lag, and having my CPU usage skyrocket.
Thanks in advance!
