Upgrade Intel Celeron 877 to i5?

Hello,

I just picked up a Acer Aspire One 756 Netbook. It has the new Intel Mobile Celerson 877 in it that uses the BGA1023 stocket.. which just so happens to be the same socket that an i3/i5/i7 mobile uses. The 877 is a 17W cpu so could I upgrade to a 17W i series cpu without any problems?

I also plans on upgrading to 8gb ram and an ssd just for fun... and way cheaper then an ultrabook!

So, is this possible? Thanks, Scott

No can do. A "BGA" socket means the chip is soldered to the board.
