"Upgrade Kit" or not?

Hi guys,

I have decided to get a Samsung 830 128GB SSD, but I have a question or two before I make the plunge. Here are the two I'm looking at:

One is $20 less than the other, but the more expensive one comes with a "Desktop upgrade kit," which I have no idea what it is. I'm getting this for my desktop, not laptop, but I don't think it matters which I get in that sense.

Is the "upgrade kit" worth the extra $20, and what is it, exactly?

The kit normally comes with software to take info off your old hard drive and move it to the SSD.

What's your plan for your new SSD

Cloning your actual boot drive ??
Or start from scratch and format ??

If the answer is the first then the kit is useful, if not take the cheaper one

Get the 2nd one, If you don't have the Mounting Kit to fit the SSD into a standard 3.5" drive bay of the PC case. You check out here for $5.

I was planning on doing a fresh install and just manually transferring files. I have a 16 GB flash drive, so I can just spend some time transferring my files to my laptop in the interim.
