I bought a i7 9700k for my computer yesterday and when I put it in I get 5 short beeps and the computer reboots. My old cpu is a i5 8600k and it worked just fine when I put it back in. I tried removing all ram, 1 stick at a time, every ram slot, reseating the cpu 4-5 times, reseting the cmos, unplugged EVERYTHING. I really dont know what else to try.
My specs are
Motherboard: ASRock z370 killer sli/ac,
Powersupply: EVGA Supernova 850 g3,
RAM: g.skill ripjaw 16gig(2x8) 3000 and COrsair Vengeance LPX 16gig(2x8) 3200,
Graphics: GTX 1070ti 8gig,
Storage: WD Black 512gb m.2 SSD and a WD Black 1tb m.2 SSD.
OS: Windows 10 Home
Is it just possible the CPU is bad or what? I'm at a lost and I spent a lot of money on the cpu..
