CPU: r5 3600 —> r7 5800x
GPU: EVGA 3070 FTW3
MB: MSI MAG B550 Tomahawk
RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws V 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600
PSU: RM750x

As the title states, I cannot change/OC my ram speed from 2133 to its possible speeds. This goes for lower speeds such as 3200 as well. I had no issues adjusting the ram frequency with my previous CPU. I can get to desktop and run applications just fine as well. Only changing the frequency of the ram causes problems and doing so will causes the system to fail to POST or BOOT. The CPU light will also turn on and any subsequent restarts will end with the same result. I have to clear the CMOS to get back into BIOS as well. My BIOS also has the most recent version as well, from back in August I believe. Any tips?

Try different set of RAM. Other than that, there isn't much else to do.

Though, there is a thing with manual RAM OC, but it is both very tedious thing to do, and extremely time consuming as well.

Idea with manual RAM OC is, that you set frequency target, then adjust RAM timings and perhaps even voltage, to find the sweet spot, where the manual RAM OC is stable.

And once you can boot to OS, you need to bench the RAM, to make sure the manual OC is stable. That means running memtest86, preferably 4 passes (1 pass for 2x 8GB, should take ~2h, so, 4 passes = 8h).
If memtest86 is spewing errors, get back to BIOS and tweak the timings/voltage more. Then run memtest86 again, for another 8h, to make sure OC is good.

All-in-all, it is probably possible to get your RAM running at 3600 or 3200 Mhz, IF you're willing to endure the hardship of manual RAM OC and OC validation (memtest86). But you'd need loads of patience with this.

Faster and easier way is to buy new RAM set.
