Built a editing/gaming desktop for my brother last year. Worked fine for a year, but when we upgraded him from his crucial 2.5 ssd to a samsung 970 evo plus m.2, it seemed to start giving problem/errors. He also cannot run call of duty modern warfare without crashing, but that may be unrelated. He didnt have exact error codes for me, but he remembers them usually being memory management errors or faulty hardware errors. My main concern is his bios version seemed a little more tricky on how to enable the boards ability to run an m.2 then one I setup for my desktop, so maybe I hit a wrong setting, or didnt enable the right one? His OS is currently installed on the m.2, it was recently reinstalled after deleting all the partitions and reformatting the drive. I did a reinstall just to rule out other issues. The m.2 shows as healthy in the Samsung magician software, but I'm not sure if there is any other tests to do to verify the drive is not faulty. Any and all help is much appreciated.

I havent installed the NVME drivers from Samsung. I'll give that a try tonight. I'll also update bios. What method/application could I use to monitor the m.2 temp during gameplay? What's a normal/safe temp for gameplay?
