Upgraded to dual-core Opteron, updates needed?

I just upgraded my mobo and CPU and re-installed XP. Are there any software updates specific to dual core CPUs I should get?

I believe you need to have sp2 but I'm not 100% sure tho.

aslong as your os is upto date you system should be fine. I have a c2d laptop and no speciall updates are needed as far as I can remember

edklite, ever heard of AMD's Dual Core Optimizer and the two patches the MS has released?


Anyone else? Somebody who has been a member longer than two days and uses proper grammar?

if your OS is up to date you have the ms patch already.

BTW sorry I didn't helping with PC need proper grammar, specially when English is not my first language, but just so you know, you don't need to know grammar to know software, just FYI 😉
