upgrades and DDR

I'm planning on getting an AMD DDR motherboard once they are available, once thing I was curious about is, will the DDR memory 200 or 266 that I get, be usuable in future VIA DDR chipsets for Intel, or is it too early to know?

I don't see why not. My understanding is that DDR ram is DDR ram.
