Approximate Purchase Date: This month

Budget Range: 300$(?)

System Usage from Most to Least Important: playing/streaming - RPG games,MMOs nothing too fancy/demanding

Are you buying a monitor: Yes

Parts to Upgrade: GPU,Monitor and PSU to match I guess

Do you need to buy OS: No

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: amazon

Location: Bangalore,India

Parts Preferences: wtv works

Overclocking: no

SLI or Crossfire: Yes / No / Maybe

Your Monitor Resolution: 1366x768 now, probably 1920x1080 soon.

Additional Comments: (e.g.: Need to have a window and lots of bling, I would like a quiet PC. Please also list specific software or games you're using)

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: So heres the TLDR : I made a nice budget build in 2017 BUT DID NOT GET A GRAPHICS CARD,The PC itself has been working fine for 7years now, I play games in low quality with terrible FPS(never seen what 60FPS feels like) and play/stream retro RPGs just fine. I just need to juice this up to run games that require a dedicated graphics card p much.

The help I need here is this: since alot of these parts don't even exist in the market anymore, what GPU would actually work with this build? Do i need a PSU upgrade as well? Is it actually worth it?

the specs are as listed
CPU- Intel Core i5-6500 3.2Ghz
MotherBoard- MSI H170 Gaming M3
Power Supply - Cooler Master Elite 450w VER.3
Memory- G-Skill RIPJAW Vseries DDR4 RAM 16GB (8GB x2)
Storage- MSI Spatium M371 1TB NVMe M.2 Internal SSD
Case- Antec Mid-Tower case ( i genuinely dont remember/find it)
Monitor- Dell Mountable 19'' screen
OS- Win10 Home

Budget Range: 300$
Parts to Upgrade: GPU,Monitor and PSU
~$200 for a very low quality dedicated GPU(RTX 3050, RX 6600),
~$75-100 for a good PSU,
~$100-150 for a decent 1080p display.

Is it actually worth it?
i would say no.
you would be much better off to save for a while and start a fresh new build with good modern hardware.

games in low quality with terrible FPS(never seen what 60FPS feels like) and play/stream retro RPGs
include which particular games you are playing
and which you would be interested in getting into.

Is my current motherboard compatiable with any of the GPUs other than 1080 TI ?
your motherboard is compatible with any PCIe card.
your available wattage and available cables from the PSU is more of a determining factor than the board.

whether you have the the option of running at max PCIe speeds is determined by the motherboard.
but, any modern card will still run / is compatible.
