Upgrading cm6850-07 with asus gtx 670 and Corsair PSU (650 watts)

This the first time I upgrade my computer so these questions may sound intolerable and stupid, but please bear them.

So I bought this computer about 11 months ago and i wanted to upgrade my graphics card to Asus gtx 670 my PSU. I currently have a 530(it sucks) and a 330 watt PSU. Iread some forums and they said that this computer doesn't support SLI. I am not sure if they mean the gpu or the computer specification.

The Asus Essentio CM6850 uses an ASUS P8H67-M PRO motherboard. That motherboard does not support two graphics cards in 2-way SLI mode.

The Corsair Enthusiast Series TX650 V2 will have no problems powering the system with that graphics card.

Fitting the ASUS GTX670-DC2T-2GD5 into the chassis looks promising.

The motherboard is 9.6" deep as seen in this interior pic of the Essentio CM6850 and the graphics card will be 1.1 inches longer than that and it looks like there's plenty of room:

The Essentio CM6850 chassis restricts you to uATX Form Factor (9.6 inch x 9.6 inch) motherboards.

The uATX Form Factor is not a good candidate for two double-slot width graphics cards because the air intake of the topmost card will be restricted by the second card. That makes the topmost card run hotter.

If you really are intent on changing the motherboard look at the ASUS Maximus V GENE or the ASUS P8Z77-M PRO. Couple it with a K suffixed processor and you you will be able to overclock the CPU to get more performance.

Smoothly with what? One graphics card? Two graphics cards?

Which CPU?

How many monitors and what is the resolution of each monitor?

What applications or games?

I've always used a chassis that handles full size ATX motherboards. I always select full size ATX motherboards with proper PCIe x16 slot spacing.

with the original specifications of my computer but with one Asus gtx 670 and and the Corsair Enthusiast Series TX650 V2.

i only use one monitor 24 inches 1920x1080

As for games i play everything, ie: BF3, Skyrim, NFS The Run, Max Payne 3, Saints Row The Third, Ghost Recon Future Soldier etc. A lot of demanding games.

If there is a bottleneck with these parts please recommend me a new chassis and motherboard or anything that I need because i may build a new computer using some parts from this one such as the i7 proceesor HDD and stuff that don't need wasting money that I can supply from the cm6850

It should run quite well with the ASUS GTX670-DC2T-2GD5 at 1920x1080 with the games you've listed.

Your i7-2600 CPU is not the unlocked version so you don't have much overclocking headroom.

Your ASUS P8H67-M PRO motherboard doesn't lend itself to much overclocking either.

Just use it for now to find out if it meets your requirements and upgrade later if you encounter performance problems with it.

When you buy a new processor it will come with its own new CPU cooler in the package.

I've never used the CPU cooler that Intel includes. I've always used an aftermarket CPU cooler because it has better cooling performance when overclocking the CPU.

For CPU I would have suggested the Intel Core i7-3770K because of its unlocked multipliers so that it can be overclocked for more processing power.

For the PSU I would have went with a good 750 Watt. Either one of the following will have no problem powering a system using two ASUS GTX670-DC2-2GD5 in 2-way SLI mode if you're planning to do that in the future. There should be sufficient spare capacity to handle any overclocking of the CPU and GPU(s).
