Are all in that socket. Your motherboard might be proprietary though. (not allow upgrades)
Biggest number is best I guess.
Well there are ide to sata adapters out there for cheap.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812119257 This one makes it so you can use sata in your ide board. (changeing to a sata harddrive will make her comp faster probably especially if her hardrive is older and worn)
Here's one that will make it so you can use her drive as an external harddrive:

Might be slower though.
And this one should make you able to use your IDE drive with a new sata port:

So you should be able to plug it into the board. Make sure you read the reviews, some nice warnings there.
Is it cheap enough xO?
I think it would be better to just upgrade since it's a desktop. Here are some newegg prices:
This is a hdmi enabled board for fm2:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130661 $50
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820313081 $23 dollar RAM
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113283 $65 dollar APU
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812186078 $12 dollar IDE to SATA adapter
Is that in your budget? This is $150 dollars total with shipping and handling increasing that price.
Could go cheaper and get a Llano APU.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157277 Motherboard hdmi enabled for $49
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820313081 same ram will do $23
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819106013 $50 APU
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812186078 $12 dollar IDE to SATA adapter
I think that is the cheapest bare parts upgrade you can buy. Other than just replacing the cpu.
$135 total with shipping and handling increasing the price.
Other than that, I think you'll just have to find a cpu ofo of e-bay and the like. Also consider backing up her harddrive to a sata one in the future.
Do w/e you want~
