Upgrading from Radeon HD 6450

Hello i am thinking of buying a new graphics card for my pc my budget is £180 at the most.

USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANTrimary use will be for gaming.

CURRENT GPU AND POWER SUPPLY:current GPU is a AMD Radeon HD 6450 and my PSU is a unbranded 500w

OTHER RELEVANT SYSTEM SPECS: CPU AMD FX 4170 @4.3GHz RAM 16GB Ballistic sport @1600 Mobo is a ASUS M5A78L-M/USB3 with pci express 2.0

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: Overclockers uk, novatech or any UK based store

PARTS PREFERENCES:Would prefer ATi/AMD but i will try nVidia if its better price for performance

OVERCLOCKING:Overclocking:Maybe Crossfire/Sli:Maybe

MONITOR RESOLUTION:1920x1080

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:Must be able to run ArmA 3

first upgrade that unbranded psu .. it wont be able to handle any hi end graphics card.. for about your bugdet i would suggest a radeon hd 7870 or a gtx560 ti

Thanks i think im settled on a 7850 but i would like a power suply that i could maybe use for crossfire in the future.

No, it's poor quality. Go with quality brands: Antec, Seasonic, FSP, PC Power&Cooling, Corsair, XFX.

Only in certain games. In Arma 3, yes, your CPU may be the bottleneck (based on Arma 2's current state).

Yes, it is. However, I'd say get the card first, and hold out on the CPU until it is properly benched.
