Hello Tom's Hardware.
I already have a pc, specs;
AMD A-10 6800k Black "APU"
AMD Radeon R7 265 "GPU"
Asus ROG Crossblade Ranger "Motherboard"
2TB HDD
8 GB Ram

I'm looking for an upgrade due to lacking FPS in multiple games, but i mainly play CS:GO.
I'll probably have to upgrade both CPU GPU and Motherboard, but which ones would be good to buy?
I dont really have a budget, i'd prefer to be lower than 1000$ but if it goes above it won't be that big of a deal.

ANY SUGGESTIONS FOR UPGRADES? :)

Assuming this is USD, this will give you a massive performance boost, specially on 1080p...

Format the HDD and reuse it in this build and you should be well covered for the next couple of years.

Just buy a new PC altogether.

Is the Intel - Core i5-8400 2.8GHz better than forexample I5-7600/7700 Kaby lake forexample?

Or are they fairly equal performance-wise? There are one scandinavian company selling IT-products that advertise around the new 8XXX series/coffe lake to be for Graphic designers?

Intel is still better in gaming due to their higher clocks and IPC, and with the new gen. of Coffee Lake processors, they have even added the longevity that was required... http://www.pcgamer.com/intel-i5-8400-review-the-best-new-gaming-cpu-in-years/
Edit: If you can stretch a bit on your budget, get the 8600k for even more performance.

Alright, fair enough.

No, i5-8400 is worse than the 7600K, especially when the older i5 is overclocked. After all, there's only like 5% IPC improvement and the other improvements are all better TIM.

I agree with your list except the psu the b3 line is pretty er.......bad and blew up during certain tests... some quality issues and lacks of protection : http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/evga-450-b3-psu,5160-11.html

thre graphics card is debateable : my 2 cents PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

First of all, that 580 4gb is a gimped card and will struggle to give you even decent FPS on a 144hz screen. For a 144hz screen you need more GPU power to render playable frame rates and the 580 will fall well short of that. CSGO is a very GPU heavy game and needs more GPU horse power than cpu.
Here is a comparison of the 580 8gb vs the 1070, you can deduct another 25% from that equation for the 4gb card listed above... http://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-1070-vs-AMD-RX-580/3609vs3923

As for the 8400, its similar in performance with the 7600k but with more cores for longevity and better performance for cpu heavy games...http://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i5-8400-vs-Intel-Core-i5-7600K/3939vs3885

My earlier point still stands. OP you are better off with the build listed above in my post.

Im a little curious, why is it that i have to change my Ram, Powersupply & Case?:-D
I understand why SSD would be an upgrade for my games, but i dont understand why everything else should be changed.

You can still use the case and powersuppy if they are decent enough. I wont trust my brand new hardware with low quality PSU specially.
But these new gen. platform are not compatible with DDR3 RAMs anymore. So thats a necessity. If you have decent CASE AND PSU, then get this...

You need to specify the make/model/variant of the psu for us to estimate its efficiency.
Here is something for loose reference... https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/631048-psu-tier-list-updated/

As for the RAM, your current platform is quite a few years old when DDR3 was the convention. Tech. has improved a lot since then and DDR3 is not a convention any more.

I recommand you to better invest into a new psu op. its abotu 50 dollars to guranteed you a safe pc :)
you can sell that ram , it will always be instabought.

Okay, thank you @superninja12 and hellfire13.
Also thanks to everyone else, i got a little smarter on the subject! :)

I wouldn't need more than 8gb ram again though do i? Will i be able to use the ddr3 ram anyway? Or will they just be completely useless?

Sorry for the derailment OP; what is your current case and PSU?

This is what I suggest.
And no, you don't need more than 8GB RAM unless you plan on streaming. The DDR3 RAM can be kept for future builds, be it antique or a backup or a casual.

Thread cleanup complete.

This will be my last public warning to both @Hellfire13 and @okcnaline concerning their propensity for off topic bickering and arguing. Stick to the thread topic and keep the miscellaneous stuff out of it. If I see any more of it, anywhere on the site, by either one of you, there will be at least a week off for each violator.

The only acceptable response to this warning is "I have read and understand". Anything else will trigger sanctions.

OP,

You got a 1000 dollar budget.
Dont cheap out 50 dollars on the psu for safety reasons...
about the ram its I think a small investment for ddr4 ram that will last a few new generations, also MOST ram has got lifelong warranty.
Make sure you buy ram in dual channel !, and 8gb ram is more than enough ( i use 8 aswell) however 16 ram shows some noticeable improvements.

again I recommand ocklanine his build with a psu swap.

Just for perspective, in cs:go, on an i7-3770K and gtx970 I get a solid 300fps at ultra settings. That Ryzen R3 has IPC that's equitable to a Haswell cpu (somewhere around the i5-4690) and paired with the gtx1060/6 or the Rx580/8 shouldn't have any issues whatsoever hitting 300fps. Not exactly in the same league as the 8600k though. With the Ryzen 1600 and now the CoffeeLake i5's out, I can't see recommending kabylake i5's at all, 4thread cpus are just too limiting in far too many other games. And the next generation of CS is supposedly slated to be 8threads capable, further killing the older i5.
