So this is what i have right now (bought it 3 years ago):

-FX-6300
-Asus GTX 660 Ti
-8GB DDR3-1333
-ASRock 970 Extreme3
-1 TB HDD
-Samsung SSD 250GB
-beQuiet 430W
-1080p monitor

I thought about waiting for Pascal, but since there are no exact dates for the release i decided to upgrade now and stick with it for the next 2-3 years.

My budget is around 800-900€. i don't care if i cant fully max out the latest games but medium-high 60fps would be desirable.
I kinda tried to make my own build but it's just a little overwhelming with all the gpus available.
My HDD and SDD are fine, so i would keep those and if possible i would keep the PSU too.

so here are my questions:
- i5 6500 or 6600(k)? i never overclocked and prefer my system quiet and cold, dont know if it could be worth somehow?
- im very unsure about the graphics card. the r9 nano looks really good from price/performance but is quite expensive too (500€), but the r9 390(x) for example is more power hungry so i maybe have to change my psu for that? the nvidia option would be the 970, it's cheap and powerful but i'm not sure if i would be happy with it for the next years considering it's more than 18 months old already and games get more demanding.
-16GB DDR4 RAM is almost mandatory i think

that's from my side :) now i would like to hear your thoughts! 😀

I'm from Germany.
Damn, really? I thought it would fit, because the Nano is quite power efficient (around 250W in gaming and an i5 shouldn't consume that much either.
+ 2 HDD/SSD, 2 RAM slots and 3 case fans
The calculator on the beQuiet website said it would consume max. 338W (which is a bit too low i think, but it shouldn't differ 100W in reality or am i wrong?).

Otherwise, if i need to buy a new PSU i have to save on the graphics card i think. Any recommendations?

With the Nano, maybe it's possible. Is your PSU 80+ Bronze?

Yes, it's 80+ Bronze

Solution

that looks good
Thanks :)

Actually, you could change the motherboard for a normal ATX or MicroATX. At first i was thinking in offering a MiniITX build to you, but I remembered that you already had a case, but i forgot to change the motherboard to a normal size one. That way, the price will low a little.

even lower? I thought 90€ is already pretty cheap and most ATX motherboards with good reviews i have seen cost at least 100-140€
or is something like Gigabyte GA-B150M-D3H Intel B150 So.1151 Dual Channel DDR mATX (€81,15 @ Mindfactory) good enough?
