Upgrading PC. Need Opinions!

Hello, and thank you in advance for the input! I've always had good luck posting on these forums with build questions.

I'm looking to purchase the 3090 when it drops on the 24th.
(My Current Build)

Processor : i7-8700 CPU @3.70Ghz
RAM : 16GB
MOBO: ASRock z370 Pro4
Card: NVidia GTX 1080
PSU: Focus Plus 550 Gold

My questions are as follows:

Which MOBO should I Upgrade to?
Is my PSU going to cut it?
Go from 16-32 Gig RAM?
Is my CPU still relevant?

PSU definitely not. I would dig into the specs for the 3090 but I would say at least 850W from a QUALITY psu.

Mobo is fine (if it's Pcie 3.0 that's fine, no need for Pcie 4.0)

Currently 2560x1080 And 60Hz But a Monitor upgrade is around the corner also for Black Friday sales.

You are correct, just did the research and a 750W is the minimum for the new Cards. I've always been confused on what qualifies for "quality" on the PSU. Is it the rating (I.E. Gold etc) or are you talking about the manufacturer?

The quality of a PSU is:

1. Is it from a reputable brand?
2. Does it provide what it says it does?

Seasonic's PSUs are amazing.
Diablotek's... not so much.
