my brother has given me a gaming pc and he is unavailable for guidance currently.
I am trying to upgrade my RAM, I have a b450 gaming plus motherboard allowing DDR4 memory. I have my eyes set on Kingston FURY™ Beast DDR4 RGB, but I was told elsewhere online that my CPU limits it being an AMD Ryzen 7 1700 causing issues and I don't have the slightest clue on what SSD to get or what is compatible.
Any tips, suggestions and guidance would be helpful on what to do

Get 3000mhz or 3200mhz DDR4 ram kit (2 modules).
For SSD get Samsung 970 evo/evo plus M.2 drive and install in onboard M.2 slot.

Note: Using M.2 drive will disable sata ports SATA5/SATA6.

If I’m not mistaken you can still downclock the ram.

What board do you have? You will likely find that the board can have it’s bios updated to accept a ryzen 5000 series cpu which would put you pretty close to Intel’s 12th and 13th generation for performance.
I have a B450 GAMING PLUS (MS-7B86), as for updating bios how would i go about doing that?

Alright thank you im going to look into buying the SSD, as for the M.2 drive disabling sata ports SATA5/6 what affect will that have or what does it do?

Hello i want to go about upgrading my RAM from g.skill ripjaws 4gbx2 to another higher one, I had looked at Kingston fury beast 8gbx2 but I had seen posts of its performance being lacking. Can anyone suggest better RAM or any information. My motherboard is : B450 GAMING PLUS , It supports DDR4 ram and my CPU is : AMD Ryzen 7 1700, I had heard of the CPU limiting the amount of memory being transmitted, I'm looking to upgrade my CPU later on. But for right now what RAM should I get?

Look in the motherboard manual. It'll be specified there.
