I know this shouldn't go on this forum but the uplay one is too slow and Tom's Hardware is a godsend.
So I got a new pc recently and after installing my games from steam i decided to install my two ubisoft games (Far Cry 3 and AC4) After installing both of these, when i tried to play the game the screen would turn black, and then I get a message that _______.exe has crashed. I've reinstalled Far Cry a few times and AC4 twice but to no avail. Ive tried running it all as an admin and in compatibility mode. When using the event viewer i get this;

Faulting application name: farcry3_d3d11.exe, version: 0.1.0.1, time stamp: 0x51226a2f
Faulting module name: FC3_d3d11.dll, version: 0.1.0.1, time stamp: 0x512269ef

By the way. my pc has an Intel Core i3-4170, Nvidia Geforce GTX 960 FTW, Windows 10, and over a terabyte of memory so i should be able to run these. It may be worth mentioning that I played both these games on my laptop (Windows 7) and they worked perfectly. I even beat Far Cry 3 and quit AC4 due to lag issues.
Thanks!

Then I'd navigate to the folder with the .dll in and replace it. If I'm not wrong, there should be another bad .dll, but the one alone should work. If not, replace the other.

The one I would replace is fc3_d3d11.dll

By replace do you mean remove one or what?
