Hi laptop details below

Win 10
i7 2.4Ghz
Acer E15-573-77GW
16gb Ram
499 Gb Hard Disk
Purchase date April 2016
space available on hard disk 103 Gb

Is it worthwhile upgrading to SSD as it has slowed down considerably especially during startup or would a clean install help

I have an inateck cloning device

it saids in disk management the capacity is 464 gb but in proprieties it gives two figures 499 gb and 464 gb which is correct as in the inateck clonng device the target drive has to be bigger than the source drive. So the replacement drive would need to be 500 gb if it is 464 gb source.

I no how fast the ssd drives are as i have a desktop with same

Thanks in advance

Getting slower over time is almost certainly a case of several years of built up software gunk.

A clean install on the current HDD would help, but a clean install on an SSD would REALLY help.
Not clone to the SSD, but a clean install.
