Please help me.

I have moved my laptop from my office environment and try to start it up.
Windows xp starts normally,I can log on normally. But there are no access to
any applications or to control panel etc. Everything gives a message with
"not responding".
Can you please help me.

You have replies in the general group. Please do not multipost - it's a
waste of bandwidth and you will receive duplicate replies, which will
frustrate you - and your respondents.
