No, season 2 of Bullshit.

They do an episode about recycling.

I don't know about you, maybe the type of games you play are different
than the ones I play, but I do like having a somewhat think manual that
wouldn't fit in a EU box like you mention.
The games I play (RPGs) most of the time have a world, with a history,
with personalities. Also, there are descriptions for spells, game
mechanics, etc. much more complicated than the console-style 8 page
manual can hope to cover.
I like paper manuals included in the box, thanks. So I prefer US
packaging

But their "overuse" over the past 200 years or so has affected the
"balance of nature" and the global climate, so we should be trying to
slow this down while we work out some other way of manufacturing that
is less dmagaing to the environment.

Well I'm fortunate to be born in and live in one of the most natural

Air can be cleaned. Clean air isn't non-renewable. It's only chemistry. But
what is non-renwable are the brain cells lost by those who believe such
things as the Kyoto accord will do a damn thing for the environment. It's
nothing more than social engineering and a plan to redistribute wealth.
Let's see--those bastard polluting North Americans--you can't do that

Well what I responded to made no mention of the cost of water,
or recycling. I don't disagree with the above. What I did disagree
with was the notion that not driving, conserving oil, was something
we should embrace. That's playing right into the hands of the pricks
who have us by the throat, and is meaningless to our survival in the
long run.

Conservation only goes so far. Since the resource, oil for instance, is
non renewable, our rate of consumption doesn't really matter. We also
have a ton of alternative fuels out there and we have some options open
to use.

I'd also like to plug Bio-Diesel. If we are really that worried about
efficient use of our resources, Bio-Diesel seems to be the way to go.

ARGGG...I hate the H2. The original Hummer was nice! You could take it
anywhere and it was fun to drive. The H2 is made for soccer moms who
want a "safe" car that will kill anyone they run into.

The H2 reminds me of the Canyonero

And a good chance that the planet will be pretty much uninhabitable

clueless about anything, it is just a shame that George Bush seems to
be of the same mind set when it comes to ecology.

According to an article in a recent issue of Scientific American (last
month, I think) we started throwing off the balance of nature about 8000
years ago when agriculture started to become mainstream. We may even have
delayed an iceage because of that.

I'm not sure that the EU-wide switch to DVD boxes for games had much to
do with the environment, I think it was more to do with the retailers
wanting to fit even more games in their shops.

Nothing wrong with delaying an iceage, they tend to really screw

My original post covered taking a submarine shower and recycling cans/paper.
You asked why I thought this. Therefore, my reply. But I see now where
you went more into the 'oil' use. My misteak. 😉

As to not driving, there's two reasons. One is to cut down on pollution.
Second is to cut down on my cost of the gas/oil. Ok, there's 3 reasons. I
really don't like driving anymore. People like to tailgate, go 20mph over
the speed limit, cut you off, not use a blinker..... No wonder I like
Steam so much. :)

I'm not sure I understand you statement above. First, who has us by the
throat? The oil companies? If so, how do you mean this?

I thought for a moment you were so egocentric that when you died, you

James, which part of NM are you in?

Last time I was there was back in '77 on a cross country trip in a car. I
think it was the NW part that we went thru while heading towards the Grand
Canyon. Beautiful scenery. We stopped and looked out onto the landscape
from ontop a tall hill.

My wife and daughter want to take a vacation this summer, and I'm thinking
that maybe a trip thru western Texas into New Mexico would be interesting.

ps I know it's a waste of fossil fuel, but my wife and daughter are bugging
me about letting them out of the house. Last time they were out of the

I'm in Albuquerque. I like it here, but sometimes the people really
drive me nuts! The mountains (the Sandia...Watermelon in English) are
quite pretty and the tram to the top is a blast.

You were probably on I-40 heading west?

I'd do it. Some pretty cool places. Drop me an email if you want some
cool road trips.

It is better to leave them chained up ;-)

Back when we were in MD, we spent the last 8 years looking at different
areas to relocate to. We went to Florida, NC, Arizona, .... and I even
looked up places over all the US. We mainly wanted the south to get away
from the cold. Now I don't mind the snow, cause I luv to play in it even
at 48. But I hate the cold and rain.

Albuquerque was actually on our list. It's just that we took a trip out
here to Texas back in 2003, it was late Aug, it was a 103degs, and we loved
it. :)

No. My friend and I drove from Charleston SC to Missiouri and then to
Colordao. It was I-70 west thru Colordao. But then we went south thru
Utah (191?). I just checked the map and it must have been the NW corner of
the map that we took a detour so we could hit NM, and then onto Arizona to
visit the Grand Canyon. It's been so long ago, but I'm guessing it was
around the Farmington area.

I'd give you my email, but there's too many wackos in here. 🙁 except
for you and me. 😉

I keep telling them that, but then they start whining about sunshine and
fresh air. 😉

Absolutely right... At least until its big brother comes along to seek
revenge... :)
