Usb 3.0

hi
i have Hp 620 notebook with win xp and a usb 2.0 driver..how can install a 3.0 driver to match my WD 3.0 tera External hard disk..and is it a problem if i install a any 3.0 driver.
Plz help

Hello and welcome to Tom's Hardware Forums.

A driver can only work if the hardware is in place and your notebook doesn't have it. USB 3.0 is backwards compatible with earlier USB issues so the external will work but not quite as fast as it might be capable of working.
