I thought I’d update my USB drivers while I was updating my sound driver but it gave installation problems. My keyboard and mouse stop working. I thought it’s temporary. so I reboot.
Lo and behold, after I boot into Windows, suddenly I can’t use any USB port anymore.

Rebooting into safe mode doesn’t help.
I can’t repair windows from installation media USB because it wants me to run the pendrive’s contents from inside of Windows.

I don’t have ps2 keyboards or mice around and I can’t find them online either.

Is a clean installation or possibly( a re-install with my old files saved), the only way?

Solution
what are details of the PC?

You should be able to get it to boot off the usb and we can look in system restore and see if you have a recent restore date prior to driver install, maybe we can roll the system back to a time it had drivers.

USB is built into win 10, you shouldn't have to install any drivers for it.
