USB Flash Drive

I installed the latest critical update for XP. Now my
USB flash drive does not work. Thought it was bad and
bought a new one. It doesn't work either.

Dialog box says USB device not recognized. One of the
usb devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned,
and Windows does not recognize it.

Any help would be appreciated.

Open device manager and remove (delete) the USB hubs and
ports, unplug your USB devices. Reboot.
Reinstall each device one at a time.
