Usb plugs not working

Hi, I have 8 usb plugs on my pc, 4 of them don't work, two in the front and two in the back. I don't know how to fix it, I tried uninstalling in the device manager, tried to update drivers.. but still not working. What could be the problem?

There is no 3.0 usb driver for windows 10.. and I tried for 7 and 8, its not competible.. also at the motherboard website didnt find a fit.. so there is no way to install that driver?

so did you try, if in Ubuntu the usb 3 is working? If it´s not working there too, you might have a defective USB3.0 chip

if not done yet, clear CMOS

try altering with the USB settings in BIOS
xhci, ehci, legacy,....



Drivers are installed by windows 10 automatically. Have a look at your device manager, is there something like USB eXtensible Host controller Intel 7series...?

Sorry I dont understand what to do.. can you explain? What to do with ubuntu and the bios.. etc?

If I clear the CMOS it will delete everything in my pc? Something might change?

No, cmos is non volatile temporary memory.

Please help! I did what you said about the cmos and now theres a message saying "error loadind operating system" why???

It doesn't remember what the boot order is, you'll have to reset that.

get into BIOS and set the boot priority manually.

did you change the sata mode in BIOS before?
