[SOLVED] USB Surge, does this break my mouse?

I have a very bad computer, and I got a new mouse. When I plugged it in I had a USB Surge, does this break my mouse? Thanks for your time.

It wont break your mouse but it could shut off your usb port/s. Use the troubleshooter info on this page, I know it says dell but it is windows info so it applies to your situation. https://www.dell.com/support/articl...r-surge-on-the-usb-port-in-windows-10?lang=en
