Hi,
I recently bought a wireless mouse(not Bluetooth) for my laptop. I am unable to wake it from sleep using that mouse. option to achieve that is greyed out.

Check this link carefully and see if it will help enable this.

Check here also and see what skaizun has to say if it doesn't fully work.

Windows 10 can be tricky at times.
Thank you for your reply. I checked for HID-Complaint mouse. One is Elan touchpad and the other is over USB. Both are configured to wake up the laptop from sleep under power management. The built-in touchpad does the job but my Logitech mouse doesn't do it. What might be the reason?

Disable your touch pad, so the logitech can be your primary device for waking up and shutting down your laptop as needed.
Boot into your uefi bios and disable it if need be, incase windows refuses to fully disable it.
Thank you for your reply. This didn't help. By the way I don't have all the fancy features in my BIOS. HP has locked most of the features.
