Use Vista key after win7 upgrade option?

I bought windows Vista home-pre OEM with a windows 7 upgrade option coupon, I now have windows 7 installed and its great. My question is can I use my Vista key on a different machine now that I have win7 installed?

Yes you can. I assume that you entered a new key for install win 7 when you did the upgrade.

Yes I did enter the new key that came with the win7 upgrade disk, so re-using the vista key on another PC will work and be legal/legitimate?
