Not really, your FPD metric is a linear value, and the actual value per advancement in performance is always non-linear, and even on frames per dollar, you can always find that with different graphics card, different visual candy setting the relative frames got can differ a lot, so it isn't a black and white linear relationship.The statement that was made, was based on performance it wasn't overpriced. Nothing you listed is relevant to that statement.
Also based on performance, it can likely not bottlenecking the next best GPU or even the next one coming, which means you can change one less platform and solely upgrading the GPU in future, that's another perspective to view the "not overpriced" statement.
