stealing is by deffinition physically taking something without permission. If I stole a disk with the os, that is theft. If I make a copy of the cd it isn't theft. And copying things that you already own unless stated specifically that you cannot copy it in a EULA is legal. And because of legal mucking about and lawyers trying to out debate eachother, its being treated as if it were illegal by calling just thatt piracy.

Why waste time cracking window 7? With re-arm you can use it legally for 120 days for testing purposes ( to ensure the system configuration is working as intended)... then just do the custom install option for another 120 days...rinse repeat. All your files will be in windows.old folder. Besides a clean install every 4 months keeps my computer running like a sewing machine.

FYI: I own 9 Windows 7 Licenses

[citation][nom]existencenow[/nom]i say only one thing, in an economy where i can barely afford to pay my insurance, rent, utilities, and then hope there is enough money to Comfortably feed my wife and i. why should i have to pay out 150-400$ just to have a computer both i AND my wife can use. i build my own computers to SAVE cost, not get stuck dishing out MORE than 35% < hardware, accounting for the most basic windows version possible 99+ $ in contrast of ~350>the cost of the hardware i use to assemble this MODERN LIFE NECCISITY![/citation]

why don't you cry some more. man the way your going on i am concerned for your wife and pray to god you don't have kids. stop bitching a computer is a NECCISITY! so stop buying performance crap and get a cheap PC so you don't put your family in the poor house

man i hate people

I wanted to actually test a pirated version and the activation crack. I have one Windows 7 Basic with activation crack with SP1. Still activated and running smoothly. No problems, so for my test, this does NOT deactivate this pirated version.

And that is why I will never upgrade windows7 to sp1, unless microsoft does what knows best; obligate you to do so, or you won't be able to install new software. And I hope than by then, there is the new windows 8 and I will do the same, no upgrades for it and still being happy without issues.

Gotta love microsoft! if we weren't busy before, we certainly were after our wsus pushed the sp1 package last week. Roughly 1200 systems potentially unbootable after the 0000000000000000.cdf/ms halt. Nice! Thank you! Exactly how I wanted my thursday to work out.

@immoral medic

lol pirated win7 basic, next up steal a Geo Metro.....

My main computer was a little temperamental with SP1 on the first try, but I think that was more due to the fact I forgot to do a clean reboot of the system before running the install. The second time it worked just fine, as well as the three other computers I've installed it on so far (Windows 7 of various builds, no Win2008 builds).

The activation limit is annoying, but I blame pirates more than I blame Microsoft for that problem. Still, with all of the computers I've worked on over the years, I've never dealt with a legal copy of Windows I couldn't legally activate. For those people that always are swapping motherboards out or simply like to reinstall Windows every month or so, there are legal ways to work around that, from telephone activation to cloning the drive after a clean (and activated) install.

And for those that are really pressed for cash, there's always Ubuntu, Open Office, GIMP, and a slew of other free utilities for the necessities of modern computing. Gaming might be an issue, but gaming isn't a necessity, but a luxury.

This being the case, you should be using Ubuntu (or another Linux distro). A person's situation is not an excuse to take what you didn't pay for.

Yawn

Another fine update by Microcrap.. lol

Update to a Mac, Ubuntu.
Problems solved.

As always it's only the legal users that suffer from piracy. Pirates just use the loaders and oem keys. But then again, if the prices for windows were reasonable, more people would actually pay for it.
I don't know what's worse though - having issues with a windows or choosing an operating system fit for no particular purpose, and unfit for most purposes.

[citation][nom]ranyunsu[/nom]Oh yeah i bought my windows 7 pro (retail) directly from microsoft and they now blocked my key because they said i installed it to many times. as far as im concerned i can install it as many times as i damm well please as long as it is not on more than one computer at a time but not according to microsoft so hell with them i am using the crack on all my computers now microsoft can kiss my ass i have never stole a thing from them but thats how they treat me. oh i for got they offered to sell my another license for a very fair and reasonable $150 bones. they can kiss my ass! so please do not jump to conclusions why people are bypassing the W-A-T![/citation]

I find what your saying hard to believe. I reinstall windows all the time. I have to activate every time' after a few times I have to call Microsoft to get the activations reset but that is no big deal. So when I hear someone say some crap that Microsoft will not let them activate there windows any more I have to say why do they let me and not them.

I use OEM copy's. I change out main boards. Like i said I smell a rat

My sony laptop auto updated yesterday morning with a forced reboot and about 10 hours later it started acting up. After a forced reboot (would not shutdown), the OS would no longer create or kill processes, explorer task bar would not update, basically killed the OS.
Finally was able to restore to before the SP1 install and it's working fine again. Kudos to the Windows 7 restore feature!

My computer (sony laptop) auto installed the update this morning and trashed my development environment...I reverted to prior to SP1 and disabled automated updates. Things were back to normal, until I rebooted, the OS tried to install the SP1 again even though I disabled auto updates. What is Microsoft update team thinking?

Windows Ultimate 7n x64.

Well hey I fancy a nice new Ferrari I guess stealing one will be ok cause let's face it if the prices for Ferrari's were more reasonable I would actually pay for one.

With regards service pack one I've downloaded twice and installed twice without any problems at all. Download to finished reboot took no more than 25 minutes each time.
Oh and by the way no one owns a copy of any windows version. It is merely leased to you under the terms of the EULA
