While it is an option, you should never abstain from voting no matter how bad the candidates are. Also like in election you can choose to abstain - at least if your previous GPU is still alive.
The fact you think toilet paper is optional is pretty disgusting. I own multiple toilets with bidet functions. A bidet is not a replacement for toilet paper. You need less, but you still need it. I would agree with your last statement. You are not forced to vote or buy a GPU or toilet paper. Consider looking into a bidet as a better alternative. Things are only ever worth what amount of money you are willing to part with to get. Love is not the correct term, for sure, I was just keeping the trend of your use of verbiage. In reality Nvidia does not "love" your money either. The sterile and more accurate turn of phrase is; They want your money, and you want their product, else you would not be paying for it.
I never said you didn't need toilet paper for a bidet... As you know that would reduce the amount of toilet paper drastically...The fact you think toilet paper is optional is pretty disgusting. I NEVER, EVER update new drivers immediately and have auto update turned off. I always read the release notes first to see what's changed in new drivers and when it comes to those releasing with new gen cards? A big heck NO!Can I choose none of the above, because that is what I chose, and I still got screwed. (stayed with my 4090 and the new drivers are causing all kinds of problems - at least I have the option of rolling back).
Don’t they usually release prior to WHQL certification? Wouldn’t install until that happens though could be a few weeks.I NEVER, EVER update new drivers immediately and have auto update turned off. If two/three months old drivers were working just fine, they won't magically improve your gaming experience with a new version specially with new cards. Chances are, those "new" drivers will most likely (on purpose) screw up your older card's performance to put more thoughts into your head to buy shiny new cards in the market.
I see where you're coming from but, personally, I have no need of such a powerful GPU so, for me it matters not.Looming tariffs could have you paying 3k-5k for a 5090 if you cannot get it early. I would rather have the hardware early in this instance and hope drivers are sorted soon.
