Hey Guys,
I've been monitoring my performance a bit and I've noticed that windows 8 seems to be using 5 - 6 gb of ram just at idle on the desktop.
Now the thing i'm confused at is that on the task manager the CPU and HDD performance are around 0 - 1% whereas my Ram is at 70% (I've got 2 x 4 gb) but the processes the Ram is being used for don't add up to anywhere near that.
Is this an issue with windows 8 and Haswell? My friend doesn't have this problem and he's on Ivybridge.
I read that windows 8 uses around 2 gb so that fact that it's going up to 6 on the desk top with no other programs running is a bit confusing.
Are there any settings that need to be looked at?
