Utility claims to be able to restore system image to dissimilar hdwr

The common answer to this has been "It can't be done, because the wrong drivers will be in the restored OS." EASEUS claims that their (free) backup software can do this: http://www.todo-backup.com/backup-resource/universal-restore/restore-system-state-to-different-hardware.htm

Anybody willing to give it a test?

(PS - I put this in Storage rather than Software because at least 90% of recovery questions end up in Storage)

Hypothetically, it should be possible if the restore process also incorporates after the basic restore something like the "Repair Install" done with a Windows Install CD. Not sure what resource it plans to use for finding the missing drivers, but I'm sure that can be done. Considering that the story seems to be that Repair Install usually works, but not always, testing this utility's claims may take a LOT of tests over a wide variety of hardware setups.

Hey, I tried it personally, and it worked. But I can't say things at 100%. But judging by the large amount of downloads and the evaluation of this freeware on download.cnet.com, I believe it's worth for you to have a try.
