Does anyone know if using a UC cold cathode will damage my plastic cables? I would also imagine that the UV responsive cables are worse. Any thoughts or experiences?

not sure, but they have been around for a little while, so i'm thinking that if they were causing problems other people would have said something by now. Just because i've never heard of it doesn't mean its not a problem, but the likelyhood is lower considering i live my life on computer forms :)

And I think you need much brighter light to actually damage it, if you put plastic in the Sun it also takes quite some time before it gets damaged and the Sun is way more powerfull at one m2 then a light bulb.

My dual-PSU PC is so powerfull that the neighbourhood dims when I turn it on
