Since I've got only 48MB of EDO DRAM on my VA503+ is it possible to enable L2
write-back cache? Doesn't the Sustained 3t Write option in Chipset Features
Setup control whether or not the L2 cache is in write-back mode?

Yes, you are correct, but I never found write-back mode to be any
faster with the k6-2/3 CPU setups. I think it was much more likely to
be more effective with the Cyrix CPUs, btw, wanna buy one?

If you have Cyrix CPU for SS7 that runs at around 3Ghz I'll buy it!

Heh, I never tried to OC it that hi, but you might give it a try,
yours to burn for $15, lol. I think I have a 300 Mhz MII Cyrix
somewhere. It actually was a decent CPU, and you could fry eggs on
it.

I already have too many K62's on my hands. Since that's the last, best Cyrix
CPU ever made it might be worth keeping though.

FWIW, the MII would overclock to 350 no problem, but sure ran hot as
heck :). In the "I can't believe it was that hot" department, my old
k6-233 sure ran hot also, when the CPU fan died I burned stripes on my
finger touching the HS, lmao. Figgered the CPU was toast, I was
wrong, fixed the fan and it ran like a champ still.
