I have an LG Flatron W1943SS this one :

so a vertical blue line appeared on the screen a 15 days ago I searched on google for a solution , well none of the solutions I found were referencing to my issue , anyway I guess it's the LCD
flex ribon cable , the solutions says the LVDS cable is the issue my best guess is the display cable since when I apply some pressure on the left side of the screen the blue line change its color to cyan and I'm 100% sure it's not a pc or GPU problem because when i turn off the display and turn it back on the blue line is present on the LG Splash screen. After a day after the line appeared it just disappeared and after about 4 days it came back I'm not able to open the display because it's a "shared property"
Here's some 2 pictures of the problem if it helps

Thank you!

Honestly, just a matter of replacing the whole thing if it is the ribbon cable or (in display) video card that's been damaged. A new cable+card costs almost as much/more than the monitor's used market value in perfect condition, and tracking down just a compatible ribbon cable is kinda tedious. Not to mention shipping price and time (often it's from a chinese seller where it can take months to arrive).

If you're super desperate and absolutely can't open it up or replace it; if the ribbon cable turns out to just be loose on the monitor recieving end, you might be able to nudge it back in carefully through the vents on the top back of the display with something like a pretty long crochet hook (something fairly blunt preferred). This ofc...

This ofc. does run the risk of just damaging it more. Shouldn't have to worry about knocking off a resistor or capacitor or the like, from what I can tell they're all shelled in, inside the monitor.

I can live with the blue line , well after my Monitor's power supply filter capacitors went bad I replaced them at a local repair shop from what I can see they didn't attach the front of the monitor well I can see it's loose on the bottom and the side of the screen maybe that made the ribbon cable loosing it self over time ?

Possibly? would have to open it up and look at it.
