No! (apart from loading a conventional optical drive with a disk)

It only matters when it comes to thermal design. How is your case designed to get rid of the heat. You need to study the fans and the airflow and either position the case accordingly, or rearrange the fans to redirect airflow. Remember, hot air rises, cold stays at the bottom. Hope that helps.
